Advancing Medicine Through Information Exchange
Founded in 1982, the Academy of Surgical Research promotes the advancement of professional and academic standards, education and research in the arts and sciences of experimental surgery. The Academy interfaces with medical and scientific organizations, and governmental agencies in establishing and reviewing ethics, theories, practices and research pertaining to surgery and promotion of the results for clinical application.
Welcome to the Academy of Surgical Research!
As President and long-standing member, it is my great honor to welcome you to the Academy of Surgical Research.
We are surgeons, technicians, anesthetists, students, and scientists. We work in big pharma, contract research, and academic settings but no matter where we come from, we’re all united by a shared passion for advancing surgical research.
Many of us have found our place, people, and passion in surgery. In management, I have also found immense joy in seeing, developing, and fueling that same passion in others.
