Date: Wednesday, September 25, 2024
Time: 10:00 am ET
Duration: 90 Minutes
Room: Salon F-G Exhibit Hall
Hosts: Darcy Gagne, Dan Turner

During this dry lab experience, trainees will learn the proper techniques on how to scrub in, as well as train on how to prepare for surgery using an open or closed glove method.  The trainees will learn how to properly prepare the skin of the animal and have the ability to drape a small and large animal aseptically – with their gown and gloves on to mimic the real scenario of operating on small and large animals.  There will be discussion on proper post-operative care of the surgical site, by species.  There will be ample opportunity to ask the trainers on how to apply these learnings to their lab and supporting equipment that may need to be kept sterile during the procedure.

Course Fee – $0.00 per session – Complimentary
