In this lab, participants will learn the techniques of nerve transection and repair as well as femoral lateral condyle defect creation.  Participants will learn the surgical methods to achieve successful outcomes in these surgical models as well as what to expect for the post-op care.  If time allows, participants may have the ability to learn techniques for laparotomy (liver abrasion model) in rabbits as well as intubation.  This lab will be beneficial to participants, such as DVMs, veterinary technicians or researchers, who are looking to expand their surgical capabilities or will be performing such procedures.

The bus departs Embassy Suites promptly at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17th from the lobby. It will first drop off to DSI around 8 am for those wet labs and then drop off at NAMSA at around 8:30 am. The return bus to Embassy Suits will pickup at DSI at 3:00 pm and then pick up at NAMSA at approximately 3:30 pm.
