Participants will learn techniques to prepare an animal (swine and sheep model) for surgery. Preparation of the animal will include sedation, IV catheter placement, IA catheter placement, ororumen (gut) tube placement, intubation, surgical site preparation (shaving, scrubbing), fluid administration and maintenance and anesthesia monitoring and maintenance.

The bus departs Embassy Suites promptly at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17th from the lobby. It will first drop off to DSI around 8 am for those wet labs and then drop off at NAMSA at around 8:30 am. The return bus to Embassy Suits will pickup at DSI at 3:00 pm and then pick up at NAMSA at approximately 3:30 pm.
